
Ken is Vice President of Thales xPlor where he currently leads the group’s new ventures in augmented reality and healthcare. As one of the team’s senior leaders, he also works with both internal and external stakeholders to shape new growth concepts. Ken joined Thales following the group’s acquisition and consolidation of the Visionix and InterSense business lines from Gentex Corporation in 2012. As Vice President of Operations at the newly formed Thales Visionix, Inc., Ken led Visionix’ integration into Thales Defense and Security, Inc., in addition to managing all of the unit’s programs and operational activities. Previously, as Senior Vice President and General Manager at InterSense, Inc., Ken was part of the executive team that sold InterSense to Gentex Corporation.
Ken has been the founding CEO and Director of multiple venture-backed medical device and semiconductor startups. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President and General Manager at Vitesse Semiconductor where he led its largest business unit servicing network communication OEMs. During his tenure in that role, Ken grew revenues from $70M to $290M over a three-year period as Vitesse became a NASDAQ 100 company.
Ken is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Thayer School of Engineering with AB, BE, and ME degrees, where his graduate work involved hyperthermia systems to treat various cancers. Ken is active in several community organizations as a Board member, volunteer, fundraiser, and multi-sport coach in Wellesley, MA, where he and his wife are raising their four children.
