David is a Senior Director at Thales xPlor where he currently leads the group’s Big Data efforts. In this role, David is responsible for overseeing strategic direction and managing day-to-day activities for all Big Data ventures and activities.
Before joining xPlor, David was a Manager at Deloitte Consulting where he led strategy projects for some of the largest public and private companies in the world. Prior to his time at Deloitte, David served as an expert financial witness in large corporate disputes where he opined on business valuation and intellectual property issues. Additionally, David has independently advised and consulted seed-stage companies, assisting in the launch of multiple technology, biomedical, manufacturing and retail ventures.
Originally from Michigan, David graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and later earned his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. He resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Julie, and their two daughters, Leah and Elise. David is very active in Big Data start-up and academic communities, and enjoys golfing and hiking in his down time.
