The GECKO-C is a vehicle that provides versatility in border surveillance and critical areas requiring special coverage.
It is a compact optronic head for long distance detection that can be integrated in a vehicle for civilian applications and border surveillance. It can be installed camouflaged on a vehicle or on a fixed mast.
The system consists of a modified 4x4 vehicle with:
- a control station (operator station) inside.
- a deployable mast with a mobile optronic head equipped with the latest video surveillance technology in the rear section of the vehicle.
- 12-15 hours of battery autonomy. Always maintaining ergonomic conditions to ensure operator comfort on long missions.
The GECKO-C optronic head is equipped with:
- a daytime camera with high sensitivity for working in low visibility conditions.
- a state-of-the-art thermal camera SUZIE from THALES for target detection at long distances > 20km.
- a long-range laser range finder > 10km.
- a GPS receiver with electronic compass for use in conjunction with the mapping system.
- auto-detection.
- auto-tracking.
- Control and visualization software.
- image fusion (IR and visible).
- data fusion in cartography (GPS, Radar, etc.).
- gyro-stabilization (optional).
- high weather resistance.
The management computer is in charge of processing and recording the images obtained by the cameras. Simultaneously, the integrated GPS system allows to visualize on another monitor both the position and orientation of the vehicle and the target marked on the cartography.
